Clive Burr, the former drummer of Iron Maiden, died on March 12 at the age of 56. Burr had been suffering from multiple sclerosis, and he died in his sleep.

"This is terribly sad news," said Maiden founder/bassist Steve Harris on the group's official site, the next day. "Clive was a very old friend of all of us. He was a wonderful person and an amazing drummer who made a valuable contribution to Maiden in the early days when we were starting out. This is a sad day for everyone in the band and those around him and our thoughts and condolences are with his partner Mimi and family at this time."

Born on March 8th, 1957, in East Ham, London, Burr was a member of another up-and-coming British metal band, Samson, before joining Maiden in 1979. As one of the leaders of the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" (which included such groups as Def Leppard, Saxon and Diamond Head), Maiden quickly showcased a sound that, early on, merged the energy of punk with the power of metal.

It was Burr's drumming that proved a major ingredient on such early Maiden classics as 1980's self-titled debut, 1981's Killers and 1982's The Number of the Beast, and such headbanging anthems as "Running Free," "Wrathchild" and "Run to the Hills." However, during this early era, Maiden members would often come and go, and by December 1982, Burr had exited the group – just as they were about to become a global stadium headliner.

After leaving Maiden, Burr appeared on recordings by such metal acts as Trust, Stratus, Gogmagog, Elixir, Desperado (which included Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider) and Praying Mantis. Burr was eventually diagnosed with MS, and his former Maiden bandmates came to his aid by performing charity concerts and helping to form the Clive Burr MS Trust Fund. In the last years of his life, Burr was confined to a wheelchair.

"I first met Clive when he was leaving Samson and joining Iron Maiden," added Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson on the group's site. "He was a great guy and a man who really lived his life to the full. Even during the darkest days of his MS, Clive never lost his sense of humour or irreverence. This is a terribly sad day and all our thoughts are with Mimi and the family."

Condolences to his family, friends and fans!

Look at this three performances of Def Leppard with country singer Taylor Swift, Bon Jovi and Rihanna also Kiss on stage with American Idol Adam Lambert. Another country singer Carrie Underwood performs with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, also Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas sings Sweet Child O'mine with Slash at the guitar.
Just for fun (and because I wanted six videos to fill in my raster) I found a video from the Rock Of Ages-movie.

Hate Taylor Swifts outfit, horrible shoes with that dress xD Fergie sings awful! Ö

Made a video about the singers who appear in my favorite TV show One Tree Hill.
If you're a OTH-fan too you should know them all. Some weren't on the show for long while others are main characters.
Gavin DeGraw's I Don't Wanna Be is the theme song so that I couldn't leave out.

Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley James Scott), Tyler Hilton (Chris Keller), and Kate Voegele (Mia Catalano) are my favorites. Especially Tyler and Gavin :D Saw them live already :)
Shantel VanSanten is in the video for fun, she rocks :p

Watch and enjoy!!
Gonna miss that show, but I've got all the DVD's :p

XOXO

According to BBC News, Led Zeppelin is among the artists expected to be in the first wave of inductees into the Music Walk Of Fame honoring music greats, each of whom will have a large disc marker on a thoroughfare in the area of North London.

The honorees will be divided into five groups: innovative artists, influential artists, icons, unsung heroes and music industry heavies, and the inductees will be selected from a worldwide pool — not just Brits.

Music Walk Of Fame founder Lee Bennett approached The Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce, which runs the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, to propose the partnership. He promises that each round of inductions will be accompanied by performances, tributes to posthumous artists and reunions of since-disbanded groups.

A committee of global industry figures and local community members are working on shortlist of nominations for the first 30 plaques.

The list will go to a decisive public vote on the Music Walk Of Fame web site in May.

Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain and Slipknot percussionist Chris Fehn are featured in GolfJam television's newest and greatest golf reality show ever, Livin' The Dream.

Livin' The Dream follows an unlikely cast of golfers, rock stars, along with other entertaining celebrity cameos, around a golf course in Florida.
A five-minute Livin' The Dream preview can be seen below.

In a recent interview with the Broward Palm Beach New Times, Nicko McBrain stated about his passion for golf: "I live for it! If I wasn't a pro drummer, I'd try and work out to be a pro golfer. Unfortunately, um, I'm not that good. But yeah, I've played since 1986!"
He added: "Funny enough, Alice Cooper and I have talked about doing a tournament together and it's more than likely going to happen in the next year or two. He's got his restaurant in Phoenix and I've got mine here in South Florida, and we're going to do a kind of golf tournament around a cook-off thing between him and me, and we've talked about it for a year or two now and we definitely want to do it! Primarily, I think the celebrities will be from our genre of music.
"When you get into playing golf, no matter what level you're at, you tend to think about just everything golf when you're on the golf course. And you said, it's two opposites, and it's such a release, and I think because of the pressures of playing — doesn't really matter what kind of music, but the pressures of entertaining and traveling, it's great way of kind of letting your hair down."

McBrain about the reality show: "It's funny because there's a lot of professional golfers who want to be in pro bands! We've cut a little program, a friend of mine and myself, called 'Livin' the Dream', and it's kind of a golf reality show we're trying to get off the ground about people in our industry that have a passion for the game and dream of being out on a par round.
You wouldn't think it, but it saved Alice's life basically! His story is that he was so wild in the late '70s and he got into playing golf with a passion and he stopped drinking and got off drugs and he's as clean as a whistle now, you know!"

Irish Thrash band Gama Bomb will release their fourth album 'The Terror Tapes' on April 19 in Europe and May 7 in the USA.
The cover for the follow-up to 2009's "Tales From The Grave In Space" was illustrated by veteran movie poster artist Graham Humphreys, who created pieces for classics 'A Nightmare On Elm Street' and 'Evil Dead'.

'The Terror Tapes' will be preceded by a single for the track 'Terrorscope', available both as a completely free download on March 26, with a vinyl release following in April.

"It was really important to us to give people some music for nothing," says vocalist Philly Byrne. "It's how we get our music and we want people to know we're cool with them doing that, as long as they support us. Support comes from a lot of different places, not just the front pocket."
About the album Byrne says: "I think this album's really going to shock people. We're not afraid to write brash, outrageous songs that will make people stand up and shout. There are some straight-up classics on this album and we can't wait for everyone to hear it."
He adds: "It's been a long road to bring 'The Terror Tapes' to life. I had throat surgery, Domo (Dixon, guitar) had a tendon injury, we changed our lineup, we recorded without a label, did it all the hard way. We worked hard and got through and made a great album which we're proud to be releasing with such great guys as AFM Records, who really believe in what we're doing. We've spent long enough in the shadows; now we’re ready to re-emerge."
